About the role: The Assistant Housekeeping Manager supports the Senior Director of Housekeeping in planning, organizing, directing and controlling all housekeeping activities according to company standards and procedures.
What you will do: Assist the Senior Director of Housekeeping in recruiting, training, evaluating, leading, motivating, coaching, and disciplining all housekeeping employees in ensuring that established cultural and core standards are met; daily activities and planning for department operation.Oversee the cleanliness and maintenance of guest rooms, public and back of house areas, in accordance with procedures set forth by Four Seasons Hotels: supervise the work schedule done daily by the supervisors' team, digitally collect room and floor status sheets for assigned work areas, monitoring staff daily progress.Coordinate work orders in assigned section and follow up to ensure work is completed and release rooms to be sold.Resolve guests' complaints, handling all interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible.Ensure floors and storages are fully stocked based on the inventory and raise the necessary purchase requisitions.Cooperate with outsourced staff, external contractors and other departments ensuring guests' satisfaction.Assist with responsibilities and duties in crunch situations on the floor, public areas, back of the house and laundry.Support with any other tasks within the division and/or any tasks assigned to by the Senior Director of Housekeeping.Attend regular operational meetings to ensure effective coordination and cooperation between departments.Keep open communication with the Senior Director of Housekeeping and have regular meetings.In the absence of the Senior Director of Housekeeping, be responsible for the smooth running and operation of the Housekeeping Department and all related areas.What you bring: Minimum three years' experience in Housekeeping with a supervisory or management role.High level of attention to detail, a strong work ethic and excellent communication skills.Strong leadership skills, ability to provide feedback to both employees and management and strong follow through.Ability to lead a multicultural team is essential, as is a passion for service.Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the Italian and English language.What we offer: Competitive Salary, wages, and a comprehensive benefits packageExcellent Training and Development opportunitiesComplimentary Accommodation at other Four Seasons Hotels and ResortComplimentary Dry Cleaning for Employee UniformsEmployee MealsSchedule & Hours: This position is based at the Four Seasons Hotel Florence and the contract is full time.
