Responsible investment is integrated into our investment-management process to ensure that responsible investment risks and opportunities are not siloed, but recognised and acted upon throughout our business, as well as communicated to investors.
Role Responsibilities: The candidate will collaborate with and support both the local and global group finance teams, reporting to the local Chief Operating Officer and with a dotted reporting line to the European Group Financial Controller. This role will initially have no direct reports, but will be integrated into a wider global team.
Responsibilities and tasks include, but are not limited to:
Review standalone accounts (ledger / sub-ledger accounts)Reviewing specific financial balance reconciliationsPrepare Financial Statements in accordance with IFRSPrepare working papers for the auditors and other controlling functionsProvide supporting information to the accounting outsourcerSupport the VAT compensation process and reconciliation of the monthly VAT settlementAssist with tax compliance tasksMonitor administrative outsourcer delivery and serviceInvoicing: Prepare active cycle invoices and supporting revenue calculations to funds and clients in accordance with contracts and fund rulesMonitor arrears and escalate when neededManagement Reporting: Prepare accruals / provisionsPrepare standalone accounts (ledger / sub-ledger accounts)Reviewing Intercompany balances and reconcile with groupCollaborate to transfer pricing modelling / audit trail / invoicingPrepare monthly reporting package and assist with reclassification/reconciliation with statutory where neededBudgeting & Forecasting: Support preparation of company budgeting and forecastingPrepare detailed variance analysis (gap analysis)Other tasks: Prepare and maintain company cash flow and cash monitoringMonitor stamp duty obligationCheck and coordinate investors tax documentation for dividend purposesUndertake other ad hoc tasks or projects from time to timeJob Requirements: 2-3 years experience in a similar role, preferably in the real estate industry or auditing companyProficiency in both Italian and English is mandatoryRelevant degree in Accounting or Finance (Bachelor or Master degree)A professional qualification in accounting considered a distinct advantageComputer literacy, word processing and spreadsheet skills are essential (MS Office)Knowledge of IFRS and Italian GAAPKnowledge of local corporate and taxation requirementsKnowledge of accounting principles and regulations issued by Bank of Italy for Italian real estate funds considered a plus.Global Standards: To comply with all regulatory requirements and laws as applicable to your roleTo comply with the Firm's policies and procedures pertaining to your role and the jurisdiction in which you operateTo abide by any local regulatory requirementsESG – considering environmental, social and governmental factors which are relevant to your role.D&I – consider diversity and inclusion elements across all provisions of your role.We are a committed equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all individuals, regardless of age, disability, gender, sexual orientation, race and religion.
