The iconic Hotel Cipriani, a historic 5-star property located on Giudecca Island, is seeking an Assistant Financial Controller. In this role, you will work closely with the Financial Controller, ensuring our financial operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Your contributions will directly support our mission of delivering exceptional experiences to our guests while maintaining the highest standards of financial integrity.
Key Responsibilities: Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow analyses. Manage and oversee daily accounting operations, ensuring compliance with company policies. Support the budgeting and forecasting processes, utilizing financial data to inform strategic decision-making. Perform monthly reconciliations of accounts, ensuring accuracy and identifying discrepancies. Collaborate with department heads to monitor financial performance and identify opportunities for improvement. Assist in external audits and ensure adherence to statutory regulations. Contribute to the development and refinement of financial policies and procedures. As an integral member of our team, you will play a key role in maintaining the financial health of the organization while also helping to foster a culture of excellence and accountability.
Requirements Qualifications and Experience: Education in finance, accounting, or a related field. At least 3-5 years of experience in financial management or accounting roles. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards. Experience in the hospitality industry is a plus. Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Excel. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
