Job Title: Assistant Controller
Location: Naples, FL
Salary: $100,000 - $120,000
My client is a leading construction contractor in Naples, FL who are looking for a assistant controller for their Naples office. The ideal candidate has experience with Sage and in construction accounting. If that sounds like you, lets connect.
Responsibilities:
Oversee all financial activities, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis, for construction projects.Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.Prepare and analyze financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to provide insights and recommendations for optimizing project performance and profitability.Manage cash flow, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes to ensure timely and accurate transactions.Collaborate with project managers, estimators, and executives to develop cost-effective strategies and mitigate financial risks.Conduct regular audits and financial reviews to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.Liaise with external stakeholders, including clients, vendors, banks, and regulatory agencies, to facilitate financial transactions and resolve issues.Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.Proven experience as a financial controller or similar role in the construction industry, with a strong understanding of construction accounting principles and practices.Proficiency in financial management software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels of the organization.Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and compliance.Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Knowledge of construction contracts, project billing, and revenue recognition standards is a plus.Health, Vision, Dental Insurance OfferingsCompany Vehicle, Laptop, & PhoneGenerous Bonus StructurePaid Time Off& more!Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.
