Position Summary The Assistant Chief Engineer supports the Chief Engineer in coordinating the program execution according to the technical targets and is the direct interface with the Customer for the APQP engineering aspects.
Main Responsibilities Reporting to Chief Engineer, leading the APQP engineering topics (DFMEA, SFMEA, SC/CC list, lessons learned implementation). Lead the integration in the design of the open points emerging from the APQP activities of other stakeholders (i.e. PFMEA, control plan) and coordinate other teams (i.e. FuSa, SW, GME) in integrating their deliverables in the design (i.e. CO-FMEDA, EoL testing). Support the approval process for the customer input requirements, coordinating with the System Requirements Engineer. Support the achievement of the product quality readiness according to company processes and standards. Support the Technical Reviews Assessments of suppliers and sub-suppliers in collaboration with the Product Design Lead. Support in the DVP&R execution and reporting of test results, coordinating problem solving when needed. Collaborate with the Engineering Project Manager in the Risk Management process. Professional Background: Experience in similar role in automotive, mobile or aeronautic companies. Experience in Electric Drive Unit design and development.
Hard Skills Fluent English speaking skills and willingness to travel. Experience in Electric Drive Unit design and development. Knowledge of automotive product development processes. Considered as a plus: Experience using computer-aided design (CAD) platforms. Master's degree in engineering or MBA. 3+ year experience in similar role in automotive, mobile or aeronautic companies.
