DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe Assistant Branch Manager is responsible for assisting the manager with overall responsibilities of the branch, including supporting sales goals; actively participating in selling and delivering all financial services provided by the Bank; managing the daily operations of the branch; resolving service related issues; promoting business for the Bank; and supervising the daily activities of branch personnel.
This position helps the branch deliver exceptional quality customer service through opening accounts, responding to client requests, resolving service issues, and providing work direction and coaching to other branch personnel as necessary.
The incumbent will: Review daily transactions to ensure accordance with rules and regulations of government agencies, regulatory bodies and securities exchangesAnalyze operations to determine areas where cost reductions could be implemented or program improvements initiatedFollow procedures for custody and control of assets, records, loan collateral and securities to ensure safekeepingAttend all sales and product knowledge training and promotional meetings offered in order to keep current on all issuesMaintain knowledge of Bank policies and proceduresPerform duties to satisfy auditing issuesEnsure that all branch general ledger accounts are maintained and reviewed daily, and that cash is in balancePerform activities to deepen and enhance existing relationships as well as to establish new client relationshipsTrain and keep personnel informed on operational issuesManage weekly personnel work schedules to ensure business needs are metReview and approve completed timecards to ensure that work times are recorded accurately Maintain and compile attendance records for all branch personnelPerform personnel actions including performance evaluations, disciplinary actions and interviewing candidates for employment; supervise the daily activities of the branch including, but not limited to, effective delegation of assignments, developing work schedules and providing necessary trainingOperate computer terminal or personal computer to process account activity, determining balances and resolving problems within given authorityResponsible for being familiar with all compliance regulations and policies that are applicable to this position and follow and ensure compliance with these regulations and policies Note: Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable otherwise qualified associates/applicants with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job.Note: Additional duties and responsibilities may be assignedMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSHigh school diploma or equivalent plus three (3) years of banking experiencePersonal Banking/New Account and supervisory experience preferredKnowledge of bank operations and productsKnowledge of basic accountingKnowledge of and training on federal and state consumer compliance lawsAbility to review account information and assess client needs to recommend appropriate Bank products, as demonstrated in previous banking positionExperience using Microsoft Outlook, Word and ExcelExcellent communication skills, as demonstrated in previous position interacting with customersAbility to give direction to branch personnel as needed, as demonstrated in previous leadership or supervisory roleExcellent customer service skillsPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONSThe physical requirements and environmental conditions of this position consist primarily of:Sustained standing and sittingFrequent use of PC, including typing or sustained attention to monitor Occasional presentations requiring public speaking to small groupsOccasional lifting of basic office files or equipment up to 20 lbsNormal office environment with comfortable internal temperatures and low level noise EOE/AA
