**Job Description Summary**: At Avio Aero, a GE Aerospace Business unit, we've been reimagining the power of flight for more than 100 years. We are specialized in the design, production and maintenance of components and systems for both the civil and military aviation.
Avio Aero is reinforcing the Apulia Repair Development Centre team to support the development of additive technologies for advanced repairs to be applied on commercial and military engines components.
The team works in a dynamic and international environment, as part of Avio Aero Engineering and in tight collaboration with Avio Aero Global Supply Chain, leveraging a well-established collaboration with Universities network.
The person in this role is expected to advance the state of the art of Advanced Repair Development with Additive Technologies within the Apulia Repair Development Centre (ARDC) located in Bari.
**Essential responsibilities**
As Additive processes Specialist, you will:
- Contribute to the definition of DOEs to identify optimal process parameters.
- Contribute to the definition of trials on specimens and components to demonstrate repair feasibility and early industrialization.
- Supervise and execute DOEs and trials ensuring activity completion on time and on quality.
- Collaborate with Maintenance and EHS to ensure maximum availability of the equipment.
- Develop and maintain structured know-how of the Technology to promote its use across the company as a distinctive enabler to address business needs; Promote the concurrence with GE Avio Repair Stations and with other global GE Aerospace Repair Stations to ensure smooth transition from development to industrialization phase of advanced repairs.
- Use of design tools: 2D / 3D CAD as Unigraphics, and in-house SWs.
- Use of CAD/CAM software as required for equipment operations.
**Qualification/Requirements**
- Master's degree in Mechanical/Aerospace/Material Engineering from a recognized University
- Previous experience in operating additive manufacturing equipment.
- Previous experience in Aerospace Design and/or Repair Engineering; CAD tools knowledge.
- Technical program management skills.
- Proficiency in Italian and English language.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Good interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Work VISA, according to local regulation, is required
