Ask what Flex@Allegro can mean for you.SummaryAs a Power Management IC Application Engineer Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers doing product verification, datasheet, application notes and customer support within Allegro's Power Integrated Circuit (PIC) product lines.You will work closely with Allegro system, design and test engineers, marketing personnel, field application, and with industry leading customers to:Lead the daily activities of the application engineering team, managing priorities and ensuring tasks are completed on time.Develop evaluation board and software (GUI) to communicate with the device and/or automate the test sequence.Verify proper performance of Allegro Power ICs through applications based testing in the laboratory and perform EMI tests.Create datasheets including all the main device characteristics and applications recommendations together with all the other deliverables needed to go in production.Learn the requirements and value propositions for various customer applications within the automotive, communications and industrial markets.
Over time, you will become an expert within the key applications spaces targeted by the Power IC Business Unit.Generate applications reports and reference designs required to secure major design wins combining different Allegro chipsets.Support Failure analysis engineer, field application to understand the customer issue and solve it.Mentor and supervise junior/senior/principal application engineers.Requirements:BSEE or advanced degree in Electronic Engineering.10+ years of industry experience in Power converter Application or Power IC Design.Solid understanding of PMIC and/or Switching regulator topologies, EMI mitigation techniques, PCB layout, bench testing and familiarity with mixed signal semiconductors.Knowledge of MATLAB/SimuLink, SIMPLIS/SIMetrix, LabVIEW, and switch mode power conversion and PCB layout experience is preferred.Electronics laboratory experience using a variety of tools and test methodologies.Strong interpersonal and English communication skills as a technical leader of the team.Ability to make clear technical presentations both to external Allegro customers and to Allegro's Senior Management Staff.Our customer base is globally diversified and this position could involve national and international travel.About UsAllegro MicroSystems (NASDAQ: ALGM) is a global semiconductor leader in sensor and power integrated circuits (ICs) and photonics.
