Job Summary:
Flowserve is looking for a technically and commercially experienced salesperson in the office (Applications Engineer). As an Application Engineer, you are part of the Commercial Operations team located in Cormano (Milano – Italy), is assigned to supporting workload from several Customers within the Europe/Middle East/Africa territory.
You will be the single point of contact focused on customer satisfaction with regard to on-time-delivery of quotations and reduction of cycle times for order entry for assigned Customers in order to help increase the seal/system bookings.
Responsibilities & Requirements:
- Provide quotations for Seals and Systems at market level pricing in response to RFQ's in the requested customer time frame;
- Interpret specifications and data sheets. Understand commercial terms such as special warranty, delivery and payment terms requested by our customer;
- Create/maintain product standardizations including price lists based on pump equipment;
- Support Sales Engineers to achieve booking target by providing opportunities for monthly forecasting process;
- When necessary, visit customer facilities together with the responsible Sales Engineer, meeting Customer's personnel and Purchasing teams to build professional relationships;
- Interact with cross-functional partners in the Manufacturing Hub to facilitate the quotation and order processes;
- Complete contract review of purchase order, to facilitate the booking process;
- Clarify with Customer any unclear or inaccurate information on the PO in a prompt manner;
- Achieve quality order entry ensuring seals and auxiliary product orders are entered cleanly within a clearly specified time frame from receipt/clarification;
- Effectively utilize the various tools as a basis for creating qualitative quotations;
Preferred Experience / Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering and / or 0-2 years relevant experience;
- Experience in a similar technical/commercial role is preferred;
- Knowledge of rotating equipment (particularly seals/pumps) is strongly recommended;
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills are required;
- You are natural at building positive relationships;
- Have strong analytical, research and problem-solving skills;
- Have keen attention to detail;
- Are flexible and able to cope with process changes
