I have an excellent opportunity with a market leading client based in Milan looking for an Analog Designer, or CAD Support engineer, who would be interested in taking their career in a different direction.
Application Engineer Role Responsibilities: Lead and drive technical evaluations: from demonstration to technical characterisation and evaluation rollout.
Provide technical customer support for our products related to the Front-End part of the Custom IC design platform.
Track all technical issues, document, prioritise, and effectively manage the customer's satisfaction.
Visit customers for discovery meetings, technical updates and debug sessions.
The Application Engineer will be expected to work both independently and in collaboration with other team members to address customer issues and to support technology adoption campaigns.
The Application Engineer needs to be open to constant personal development and growth to meet the evolving demands of the electronics industry.
This role spans a broad range of technologies: must be eager to learn new tools, flows and technologies.
Qualifications: The position requires a Master degree in micro-electronics Engineering with ideally 8-10+ years industry experience in analog mixed-signal IC design, EDA and technical sales support.
Candidates with a PhD in electronic design engineering are positively considered.
Core Areas of Expertise: Good knowledge of industrial analog designs (mature or advanced nodes).
Good understanding of Front-End IC design flow.
Analog/RF and Mixed-Signal simulation with Spice and Mixed Signal simulators.
Experience with Cadence Virtuoso Schematic, Analog Design Environment, Spectre.
Experience with Spectre AMS Designer and Xcelium is highly desired.
Experience with A/MS and RNM modeling techniques is highly desired.
Linux environment and scripting languages.
