Application Engineer

Application Engineer is the role dedicated to the development and sales of systems in the reference division. In strong synergy with the Sales and Service areas, it deals with technical feasibility analysis of all bid requests, the design and execution of demos and tests for the Group's customers, both on-site and remotely. Application Engineer also actively supports product development and training activities.
Responsibilities
Analyze the technical feasibility of each offer request, in order to satisfy it;
Organize and carry out demos, testing, and training on the systems in his/her Division;
Maintain order and functionality of systems and equipment, both in the show room and work areas.
Activities
Design and organization of feasibility analyses, cutting tests, demos, and tests, based on requests for offers and orders acquired;
Execution of demos and testing with the customer;
Design and execution of training activities;
Preparation of the plant for testing, including any assembly and equipment connection activities, in collaboration with the referent Assembly Department operators;
Processing and filing of documentation produced to complete the activities performed, according to internal procedures;
Support for Marketing / Communication activities and participation in fairs and events;
Support to Service for testing activities and after-sales support inherent in the applications developed, in order to ensure the proper passage of information;
Active participation in product development, in synergy with the UT department, suggesting improvements and malfunctions.
Must have
Diploma and/or degree in technical field (preferably electrical engineering, electronics or mechatronics);
Previous experience in machine tool assembly, wiring, and testing;
Professional competence (B1/B2 level) in the use of the English language in order to interact directly with customers and foreign colleagues;
Interest and aptitude for performing tasks that require patience and accuracy;
Propensity to manual skills;
Relationship aptitude, useful for relating constructively and purposefully with customers and colleagues;
Availability to travel, even if occasionally.
Nice to have
Knowledge of other foreign languages, at B1/B2 level;
Experience in industrial companies that design and build machines or industrial automation systems.
