This is a key role for providing essential service and responsibility for producing practical design solutions, including support documentation, to meet customer expectations and assembly methods based upon technical specifications provided and/or site survey information. Reporting to the Application Team Leader, you will interact with other sites and areas of the business to ensure designs meet the desired criteria. You will provide design advice, interpret prospective customer requirements, and estimate costs to meet those requirements while liaising with sales to ensure adequate information is available for compiling estimates.
In this role, you will produce cost-effective and reliable design solutions to meet customers' needs and create technical documentation including installation procedures, schematics (Hydraulic, Pneumatic, Electrical), wiring diagrams, and calculations using current procedures and available tools. You will undertake survey and measurement of equipment, typically valves, actuators, pipework, and associated controls intended for customer sites across all industries and travel as required.
This role would suit a determined problem-solver who can think logically outside the box for troubleshooting issues and participate in projects or work towards continuously improving the effectiveness of the business.
Experience Requirements:
Mechanical Engineering Degree or 2 years' experience in a technical office Mechanical engineering background with knowledge in other disciplines Good knowledge of 3D CAD software (preferably Solid Edge) Ability to work as a member of a team under tight time and cost constraints is essential The Successful Candidate:
