This is a key role for providing essential service and responsibility for producing practical design solutions, including support documentation, to meet customer expectations and assembly methods based upon technical specifications provided and/or site survey information. Reporting to the Application Team Leader in this role you will be interacting with other sites and areas of the business to ensure designs meet the desired criteria. Provide design advice, interpret prospective customer requirements and estimating costs to meet those requirements. Liaising with sales to ensure adequate information is available for compiling estimates.
In this role you will produce cost effective and reliable design solutions to meet customers' needs, produce technical documentation including installation procedures, schematics (Hydraulic, Pneumatic, Electrical), wiring diagrams and calculations by using the current procedures with the support of the available tools. Undertake survey and measurement of equipment, typically valves, actuators, pipe work and associated controls intended for customer sites across all industries and as needed, travel as required.
This role would suit a determined problem-solver, who can think logically outside the box for troubleshooting issues and take part in projects and/or work for continuously improving the effectiveness of the business.
Experience Requirements:
Mechanical Engineering Degree or 2 years' experience in technical office Mechanical engineering background with knowledge in other disciplines Good knowledge of 3D CAD software (preferably Solid Edge) Ability to work as a member of a team to tight time and costs constraints is essential The Successful Candidate:
