Barilla is looking for an Analytical Laboratory Technician. The position will report to the Lab Technician Pool Coordinator and it will be based in our Headquarters in Parma.

Job Purpose
This role executes tests in the Barilla Analytical labs regarding chemical, rheological, and microbiological measures on raw materials, semi-finished, and final products to meet day-to-day project needs. It guarantees lab instrument maintenance and laboratory compliance with all safety procedures and rules.
Key Accountabilities
- Execution of all elements of an assigned test plan, from sample preparation to results acquisition. Proficiency in standard operating procedures. Contribution to developing new analytical methods.
- Generate accurate and repeatable test data, make critical observations, look for inconsistencies, and elaborate results for the final report, which his/her supervisor issues.
- Identifies ways to improve the execution of methods and new ways to accomplish tasks through experience and technical capability.
- Analytical Laboratory instruments maintenance
- Guarantee laboratory compliance with all safety procedures and rules
- Cooperate with internal stakeholders: scientists, technologists, and pilot plant technicians will collect samples for analysis. They also take part in all project activities.
- Manage external partners in receiving and providing information about instruments and/or maintenance orders.
Requirements
- High School Diploma in chemistry/food chemistry
- 1/2 years in an analytical laboratory environment
- Intermediate English – at least B1 level
- Team working, Negotiation and Communication skills; Organizational skills
- Nice to have: Microsoft Office Package; SAP and LIMS (excellent to have)
