Analyst / Associate – Energy Transition Private Equity Fund A well-established private equity firm with a long track record of investing and growing businesses in the energy space.
The firm invests in companies with strong growth potential and large capital requirements across renewable energy, electrification, sustainable fuels, and circular and efficient energy systems.
With over $8bn in assets under management, the team in Milan is looking to hire an Analyst or Associate to work across origination, investing, and developing and growing the portfolio businesses.
THE ROLE Key responsibilities include: Assisting with the preparation and evaluation of investment proposals Developing and critically reviewing, stress testing, and commenting on the financial models in collaboration with partners and advisors; assessing the integrity of the model and financial returns of investment opportunities Assisting / leading with transaction due diligence Undertaking market and sector research and analysis, and providing updates to the team on any insights or developments Collaborating with senior investment professionals in originating, evaluating, and analysing new investment opportunities Assisting the team with managing and monitoring existing investments, and identifying and implementing new initiatives as part of the firm's asset management plan, including new bolt-on acquisition opportunities Working with existing portfolio companies to assist in the execution of their respective business plans from the point of initial investment to ultimate exit Managing and maintaining relationships within the industry, including investment banks, fund managers, independent valuers, consultants, and peer investors THE CANDIDATE The firm is looking to hire a high-quality individual who is passionate about energy transition and thrives in the entrepreneurial self-starter environment.
In addition, the successful candidate will have: Between 1.5-3 years' experience in M&A or debt advisory, private equity or consulting Strong quantitative / numerical skills - advanced financial and operational modelling skills A demonstrated track record of relevant deal flow execution Experience / an understanding of the energy transition sector considered a plus Strong academic track record, including a Bachelor's degree covering Economics, Mathematics, Engineering or another quantitative subject Fluency in the English and Italian languages; additional European languages are desirable Seniority level Associate Employment type Full-time Job function Finance Industries Venture Capital and Private Equity Principals #J-18808-Ljbffr
