DRI is now seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Agri PV Manager to join our team in Italy. As an Agri PV Manager, you will play a key role in the development, implementation, and optimization of agrivoltaic systems, integrating solar photovoltaic (PV) technology with agricultural practices to maximize land use efficiency and sustainable energy production.
What you will do: Manage the design and development of agrivoltaic systems, integrating solar PV arrays with agricultural activities such as crop cultivation, livestock grazing, or aquaculture.Conduct feasibility studies and site assessments to identify suitable locations for agrivoltaic installations, considering factors such as soil quality, crop selection, solar irradiance, and land availability.Collaborate with agronomists, farmers, and local stakeholders to assess agrivoltaic potential, address concerns, and develop tailored solutions that optimize land use and agricultural productivity.Support the design of PV system layouts, considering shading effects, crop spacing, irrigation requirements, and compatibility with existing farming practices.Provide technical expertise and guidance on agrivoltaic system components, including solar panels, mounting structures, irrigation systems, and monitoring equipment.Support project development activities, including permitting, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder engagement in relation to the agriMonitor agrivoltaic system performance, analyze data, and identify opportunities for optimization and improvement.Conduct research and stay updated on advancements in agrivoltaic technology, agronomy, and sustainable agriculture practices.Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to enhance knowledge sharing and best practices in agrivoltaics.Contribute to the development of case studies, reports, and publications to showcase the benefits and potential of agrivoltaic systems.What you bring: Bachelor's degree or higher in Agronomy, preferably related to renewable energy industry.At least 2 years of proven experience in agrivoltaic systems design, implementation, or research, preferably in the renewable energy or agriculture sector.Strong understanding of agricultural practices, crop management, soil science, and ecosystem dynamics.Familiarity with solar PV technology, system design principles, and electrical components.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance technical requirements with agricultural considerations.Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and present complex concepts in a clear and engaging manner.Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.Fluency in English and Italian, other languages are a plus.Passion for sustainability, renewable energy, and the intersection of agriculture and technology.Willingness to travel occasionally for site visits, meetings, and project-related activities.What we offer: Exceptional salary and benefits package.Opportunities for professional growth and development.A collaborative and inclusive work environment.Supportive and dynamic company culture.Exciting and challenging projects.At DRI, we are proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
