Job Overview
The Night Butler plays a crucial role in maintaining a high level of service and security during the nighttime hours, contributing to the overall success ofOrient Express –La dolce vitatrain cruise.
Responsibilities
Guest Services:
- Welcomingand assisting guests during night check-ins or early morning check-outs.
- Providing information about the train's facilities, services, and local attractions.
- Handling guest requests, inquiries, and concerns promptly.
- Handling unexpected guest concerns in a proactive and professional manner.
- Anticipating and fulfilling the needs of guests to create a positive experience.
- Providing excellent customer service, even during late night hours.
Security and Safety:
- Monitoring security cameras and ensuring the safety of guests and the property.
- Responding to any security issues or emergencies and taking appropriate action.
- Conducting regular security patrols to identify and address potential risks.
Administrative Tasks:
- Handling the overnight check-in and check-out procedures.
- Managing reservations and assisting with cabinsassignments.
- Maintaining accurate records and reports, such as occupancy rates and incident logs.
Concierge Services:
- Assisting guests with special requests, such as arranging transportation or making restaurant reservations.
- Providing personalized service to enhance the guest experience.
Property Maintenance:
- Conducting routine inspections of thetrainto identify and report maintenance issues.
- Coordinating with maintenance staff, cabin stewards and to address any problems.
Communication:
- Communicating effectively with other staff members and departments to ensure a seamless transition between shifts.
- Notifying management of any significant events or issues during the night.
Compliance:
- Ensuring that the train complies with safety and security regulations.
- Adhering to the train's policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Experience& Certifications:
- Significant experience in luxury hospitality or a similar service-oriented industry.
- Certified training in hospitality, butler services, or a related field is considered a plus.
Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering a high standard of service.
- Ability to adapt to changing schedules and handle unexpected situations with professionalism.
- Proficiency in multiple languages is a plus.
Flexibility:
- Availability to work on shifts and on weekends.
