The position: reports to the Lead Aerodynamics Designer or designee.
Works closely with model makers and aerodynamicists to continuously evolve performance of aerodynamic test parts and surfaces.
Key Responsibilities: Promote teamwork and effective communications to develop working relationships between all personnel and departments.
CAD model part design.
CAD surface definition and concept scheming.
Clear communication of task status.
Develop workflow automation tools.
Follow and maintain safety standards in all venues.
Assume any responsibilities delegated by their seniors.
Education and Work Experience: A degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
Typically requires at least 2 years of experience in the automobile racing industry.
Specialized Knowledge and Skills: Thorough understanding of and experience with CAD, with expertise in CATIA/3DX.
Self-sufficient in planning and prioritizing tasks.
Use judgment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills to achieve objectives.
Equipment and Applications: Solid computer knowledge, preferred experience in Microsoft Office products.
