**Job Description Summary**: The Grinding line leader will be responsible for the grinding/machining activities according to engines Scope of Work (SOW).
Aero Alliance Service Center is a provider of LM2500-LM6000 (Aero derivative gas turbines) overhaul services.
The Grinding line leader will report to Avenza Aero Alliance LM Service Shop Workshop leader.
**Essential Responsibilities**
- Planning and coordination of Grinding activities in order to respect the operation plan, the delivery of GG respecting EHS/Quality requirements. Working with G3 and G1 line leaders to manage the line workload optimizing grinding machine/workstations workload respecting Dates/delivery. Attending production weekly review updating the progress of the work raising issue or risks for delivery.
- Be people leader of a team working on three shifts.
- Be responsible for EHS and Quality matters for the line, promoting and leading continuous improvement.
- About health and Safety be responsible for requirement of safety decree 81/08. (i.e. managing Work Force, take care working tools and methods).
- Balancing the activities on workstations to respect delivery goals, workstations workload, use of resources (tools and operators), hours development for the shop, working closely to foremen, operators, MFG ENG, Quality, G0, G1 line leader, C&I line Leader, G3 line leader, G2 and operation Planner.
- Oversee the machines/equipment maintenance working with Facility/Maintenance leader granted the regular progress of the line activities.
- Be able to analyze/resolve technical topics typically raised during the activities (machines set-up; centering of parts; work on part program to adapt the parameters to the machining operation to perform, etc ).
- Managing the F&T for the line, working with WHS/Maintenance in order to avoid interruption due to lack of materials (tools, grinder, spare parts ).
- Highlights criticalities during the production and identify opportunities to continuously improve engines delivery dates.
- Analyze workload, highlight overloads/bottlenecks for the plan and define recovery actions if needed to reach OTD/TAT targets.
- Support Lean/AWO continuous improvement initiatives to reduce cycle time, improve inventory turns and reduce manufacturing losses.
**Qualifications/Requirements**
- Bachelor degree in engineering or equivalent from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma) or equivalent knowledge or work experience
- Previous experiences in similar roles
- Excellent analytical skills
- Proficient skills in PC, Microsoft Office, Excel, Access
- Oracle or other ERP system experience
- Fluency in Italian and English, in writing and speaking.
