This position also researches and gathers data for preparation of various reports and special projects at the Arizona State Prison Complex (ASPC) - Florence.

Job Duties: Researches and gathers data for preparation of reports and special projects Prepares a variety of correspondence and responses Responds to related questions from the public and staff Investigates complaints and resolves problems or refers to appropriate area Reviews/monitors amounts expended from the budget to assure that expenditures do not exceed funds available Attends meetings and takes minutes Organizes and files confidential and administrative files Maintains and operates general office equipment Drives on State business Performs other duties appropriate to the assignment Knowledge, Skills Abilities (KSAs): Knowledge of: Administrative management practices General procurement rules and procedures General office practices and procedures English, spelling, grammar usage, and filing systems Proper telephone etiquette, dealing with staff, inmates and public Personal computers, word processing and spreadsheet software Department policies and procedures Skill in: Operation of general office equipment Data entry Report preparation Formatting difficult and complex reports, writing correspondence Training lower-level staff Written and verbal communication Establishing and maintaining interpersonal relationships Ability to: Plan, analyze, coordinate and prioritize work Maintain confidentiality Research, collect and organize data Multitask and work in a business/professional environment Work in a prison environment Selective Preference(s): Working knowledge of computer programs, including MS Word, Excel, and Gmail Two (2) - Three (3) years' experience in providing administrative support to a manager or administrator Pre-Employment Requirements: Employment is contingent on the selected applicant passing a background investigation and drug test.
In an effort to maintain a safe environment, all employees are required to take a Tuberculosis (TB) test during their New Employee Orientation and every year thereafter.

Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current, valid class-appropriate driver's license, complete all required training, and successfully pass all necessary driver's license record checks.
The license must be current, unexpired, and neither revoked nor suspended.
Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver's license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records, and must complete all required driver training.
An employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on state business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance.
