PositionWe are looking for a Active Acoustic Engineer to join our team in Audio System Design, Audio Innovation and Technical Management.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the development, testing, and definition of processes and methodologies for active noise control (ANC) systems within the vehicle cabin, with a specific focus on reducing road and aerodynamic noise.
This position is crucial to ensuring the highest level of acoustic comfort inside the vehicle while contributing to the overall weight reduction of the vehicle.
ANC System Development: Design and development of active noise control systems using a model-based design approach, with particular attention to the cabin environment.Research and Innovation: Analysis of the state-of-the-art technologies in active road and aerodynamic noise cancellation to improve acoustic comfort and vehicle efficiency.Noise Transmission Analysis: Interface with various internal and external stakeholders, including the NVH (Noise, Vibration, Harshness) teams, to understand and optimize the modes of noise transmission within the cabin.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to enhance corporate know-how in ARNC (Active Road Noise Control) by analyzing data, virtual modeling of the cabin and controller, and rapid control prototyping with development hardware.Performance Evaluation Support: Assist in the development of tools for the objective assessment of audio performance and the definition of objective metrics for evaluating ANC system effectiveness.Acoustic Measurements and Evaluations: Conduct acoustic measurements and subjective evaluations in vehicles to verify the performance of noise cancellation systems.RequirementsEducation: Degree in Electrical Engineering, Sound Engineering or equivalent. A master's or Ph.D. is considered a plus.
Technical Skills: Programming and development of systems using Matlab/Simulink.Experience with rapid control prototyping techniques.Basic knowledge of noise transmission analysis and NVH systems.
Preferred Skills: Familiarity with rapid control prototyping tools such as dSpace or Speedgoat.Experience in FEM (Finite Element Method) simulations with Comsol Multiphysics.Advanced knowledge of Matlab/Simulink for development and rapid prototyping.
Soft Skills: Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and a dynamic environment.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication skills and the ability to interface with various stakeholders.Other informationFull Time
