The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning, execution, and oversight of all acquisition-related tasks, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
This position requires a strong background in program management, acquisition processes, and coordination with various stakeholders, including contractors, vendors, and government entities.
Key Responsibilities: Program Management: Lead and manage all aspects of acquisition programs, including planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting.
Develop and execute project plans, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and contractual requirements.
Coordination and Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for all program-related inquiries and communications.
Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and other entities to fulfill contractual obligations and mission objectives.
Technical and Analytical Support: Perform analytical, planning, and problem-solving tasks.
Provide technical proposal analysis guidance and assistance.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant regulations, policies, and industry standards.
Contract Development and Compliance: Develop and manage acquisition documents, including cost/price estimates, quality assurance surveillance plans, statements of work, and performance work statements.
Ensure all contractual deliverables are met on or before agreed-upon deadlines.
Risk Management: Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
Ensure all projects are completed within approved budgets and timelines.
Information Management: Provide office automation, records management, and scheduling functions.
Support meeting and conference coordination and document requirements, incorporating architecture and operational needs.
Team Leadership: Build a solid business base with military customers and effectively motivate and direct contractor technical and support staff personnel.
Establish strong working relationships with customers, technical staff, managers, and peers.
Required Qualifications: Education: Master's Degree in a related field with at least three years of recent specialized experience; OR a Bachelor's Degree in a related field with six years of recent specialized experience; OR ten years of recent specialized experience in acquisition and program management.
Certifications: Program Management certification (e.g., PMP, PgMP) demonstrating proficiency in managing complex projects.
Experience: Extensive experience in the acquisition field, particularly in contract requirement development and program management.
Security Clearance: Favorable Tier III SECRET clearance is required.
Additional eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) may be necessary depending on the role.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a military or government contracting environment.
Familiarity with U.S. Air Force and Department of Defense acquisition processes and regulations.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior leadership and multiple stakeholders.
Work Environment: This position is based at Aviano Air Base, Italy.
The work will be performed in a government facility, with potential travel to other government or contractor facilities as directed by the government.
Compensation: Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
