Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organisation: The main purpose of Local Finance & Accounting is to manage and monitor the accounting ledger in accordance to local GAAP.
As such, Local Finance has to actively manage the differences between IFRS and local GAAP of the respective country.
As part of this, it has to prepare and deliver the local tax reporting to the respective authorities.
In addition, Local Finance has to play an active communication role between the above market Financial Shared Services Organization (GBS) and the various local Finance and other Business Departments.
Additionally, the role manages the organization's cash flow and treasury reports.
Key Responsibilities: Coordinate and support GL activities managed by Global Business Service in order to ensure correctness of data.
Day to day coaching and advising on new local regulation.
Support local tax declarations/audits ensuring compliance to local regulations/legislation.
Analyze the organization's revenues, liabilities, credit conditions, and other financial indicators to forecast the organization's short, medium and long term cash flow position.
Interface for Global Treasury about investment options, funding sources and financial instruments.
Provide senior management with accurate and timely updates for decision-making processes.
Establish and maintain positive, ongoing relationships with internal and external business partners.
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications: Strong accounting and fiscal knowledge.
Wide understanding of end to end processes.
Strong communication skills.
Fluent English (spoken and written).
Very good IT skills (e.g.
Microsoft, SAP modules).
