In addition, the Accounting Specialist will include keeping financial records, customer invoicing, bank bookings, and all months-end related activities.The Accounting Specialist will be a detail-oriented collaborator across the project team gathering and sharing information.What you can expectResponsible for maintenance of ordinary bookkeeping (recording invoices payable and professional fees, issuing invoices receivable, employee costs, banks movements, accruals and deferrals, asset and depreciation book, year-end adjusting entries for closing balance sheet)Manage electronic invoicesMonthly reconciliation of bank balances (from bank statements)Periodic reconciliation of customers and suppliers accounting recordsCurrent tax fulfillments (F24, LIPE, Intrastat, Excise, tax amends, virtual stamp duty, other fiscal declarations as 770, IRAP…) with support from external tax consultantDeed management from tax agency with support from external tax consultantSurety policy management (in port/state free zone is a plus)Ensure all documents are properly approved and distributedCommunicate with vendors, customers and banks for accounting purposePrepare periodic reports in cooperation with Finance Controller /Reclassification of balance sheet and income statement according to IFRSFulfillment of accounting official booksProduction of all documents requested by internal/external auditorsComply with all the safety and security rules and regulations, lead by exampleSupport the department and business unit where requiredFollow the corporate authority matrix, contract policies compliance guidelinesActively report improvement opportunities to direct reportWhat you bring to the tableGood Italian and English (German is a plus)Experience (5+ year(s)) in accounting and finance department (Experience in Port areas, demanio/punto franco is a plus)Good understanding of MS OfficeGood understanding of SAP/accounting systems & proceduresAttention to detail, dedicating to get it perfectProblem solving oriented.Excellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to prepare contribution requests to public agencies, knowledge of Industry 4.0, leasing and long-term rental contractsDegree in Finance, Economy, or relatedExperience with Italian accounting standard and IFRS accounting standardThe ideal candidate would have a valid EU work permit and would be willing to relocate to Trieste in short notice.HHLA PLT Italy is part of HHLA Group, with over 6.400 employees worldwide.
