Exciting and challenging opportunity working in an American multinational chemical company. The accountant will be responsible for execution of Record to Report ("RTR") EMEA tasks within the Financial Shared Service functions in accordance with the Group Policies, local and US GAAP requirements, agreed service level agreements and key performance indicators.
**What will you be doing?**:
- Full ownership of Month End Closing activities including reporting in HFM and variance reviews.
- Preparation and/or review and approval of balance sheet reconciliations in Blackline.
- First point of contact for corporate and FP&A for the entity/s in charge.
- Full ownership on audits and first point of contact for auditors, responsible to make sure all the deliverables are met on time.
- Responsible to monitor SOX compliance from other departments by gathering the controls.
- Cash forecast actuals.
- Monitor travel expenses on Chrome River.
- Responsible to monitor all FA related activities (additions, disposals, capex, depreciations).
- Responsible to monitor tax payment according to schedules provided by tax department.
- Responding to a significant number of ad hoc queries, and analysis as required, prioritizing work effectively to ensure that these queries are responded to on a timely basis.
**Who are You?**:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting/Finance.
- Over 3+ years of Accounting/Finance experience required.
- Experience with SAP (JDE and HFM is a plus).
- Accounting role in FSS in large, listed, multinational company is desirable.
- SOX experience.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (other languages are an advantage).
- Advanced Excel skills with experience of building and working with complex models and large data sets.

- Role may require some travel at times and work on some weekend/public holidays during month/year end periods.
