Position
**JOB LOCATION**:
ERBC is looking for an Accounting Manager Italy W/M to join the Finance division within Pomezia Site (Rome).
**WHO YOU ARE**:
The Finance division, led by the Chief Financial Officer, is structured around 2 departments: Accounting and Financial Planning & Analysis. Operating globally with the key stakeholders of Business Units (Vertical organization) & Corporate Business Partners (Horizontal organization), the Finance division aims to support the Group in its organic and inorganic growth to build the leading European independent preclinical CRO to deliver best-in class services to our clients.
The Accounting Manager Italy oversees all activities of the accounting and tax accounting units of ERBC Italy in accordance with the group accounting policy foreseen by the Head of Group Accounting & Consolidation. As Accounting Manager W/M, he/she must also manage, train, and empower a team of 2 accountants.
The Accounting Manager W/M is responsible for the day-to-day aspects of the business's accounting and reporting functions of its legal entity, and he/she reports directly to Head of Group Accounting & Consolidation who takes responsibility over the entire accounting of legal entities. He/she is expected to work collaboratively with ERBC stakeholders.
**IN THIS POSITION, YOU WILL**:
- Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures.
- Plan, organize and coordinate the monthly & year-end close process with internal teams and external auditors.
- Ensure successful completion of the company's tax filings.
- Prepare financial statements.
- Enhance the digitalization of the accounting department & accounting procedures.
- Participate in planning, budgeting, and authorizing expenditures procedures collaboratively with Financial Controllers.
- Manage and coordinate the activities of local accounting teams (accountants and accounting assistants).
- Manage third-parties activities (chartered accountant, auditors, fiscal administration, tax credit advisors,).
Profile
**YOUR PROFILE**:
Education/experience
- Master Level preferably from Business or Economic School, or comparable accounting class.
- At least 4 years of experience in a Big Four, or 7 years of experience in relevant corporate setting such as multinational Companies.
- Certification such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) is a much-appreciated asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite is requested.
- Experience of international group with several legal entities is needed.
- Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (Italian GAAP, IFRS GAAP is a plus).
- Knowledge on Sage X3 (accounting ERP) is a plus.
