ABOUT THE ROLE You will be responsible for carrying out and monitoring all accounting and financial operations relating to Data4's business in Italy (3 entities). You will monitor financial flow in order to prepare reports (balance sheet, income statement, tax return, etc.). You will be responsible for reconciling accounts and maintaining the general ledger. You will supervise auxiliary accounting.
RESPONSIBILITIES Perform accounting tasks to ensure accuracy and compliance (incl. booking AR and AP invoice, bank reconciliation, Fixed Assets book and depreciation, payments to suppliers) Manage GL accounting, execute and/or record transactions, including needed documentation Supervise and control the correct entry of supplier invoices and supplier payments Responsible for monthly / yearly closings Prepare quarterly consolidation package (IFRS) Prepare the supporting documentation in line with SOX procedures Key contact for audit process Be responsible for bank reconciliation Prepare tax filings Prepare exchange of goods declarations and exchange of services declarations Contribute to the preparation of monthly/quarterly/yearly closing Prepare and control Inter Company transactions Contribute to the preparation of annual financial statement for intern and external auditors REQUIREMENTS
Education and experience Bachelor's/Master's degree in accounting or finance 5 to 7 years of accounting experience Experience in managing a small team Technical skills Advanced knowledge of accounting and tax procedures Good knowledge of Italian GAAP. IFRS knowledge is considered a plus Good knowledge of Italian Tax legislation Knowledge of legal standards (labour law, tax law, company law) ; Good knowledge and hands-on of Excel, including dashboards and pivot tables; Good knowledge of accounting software (Sage X3 is a plus) ; Fluent in English and Italian Soft skills Sense of organisation and attention to detail Enjoys solving complex problems; Logic, analytical skills Enjoys working independently Discretion, organisational skills, ability to manage priorities and deadlines; Team spirit
