Location: Tax internships are available (January 2025 – mid April 2025) in the Utica, Rome, and Syracuse, NY offices. Audit internships are available summer 2025 in the Utica, Rome, and Syracuse, NY offices. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Tax: Work to assist team in planning and preparing various tax returns. Assist with bookkeeping or data entry. Assume responsibility for completing work accurately and on a timely basis. Keep supervisors/team informed of progress on assigned tasks. Maintain organized workpapers and files. Work on special projects as needed with strong attention to detail. Audit: Work in a team environment to assist in providing quality service on auditing engagements. Prepare clear and concise working papers. Assume responsibility for accurate and timely completion of work. Keep supervisors/team informed of progress on assigned tasks. Maintain organized workpapers and files. Work on various audit projects as needed with strong attention to detail. Qualifications: Working towards a degree in accounting. Ability to manage multiple projects, be organized, dependable, prioritize and follow Firm policies/procedures. Ability to work effectively individually or as part of a team. Ability to work directly with clients as needed and have a commitment to exceptional client service. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong problem solving and analytical skills. Strong computer skills and ability to work with various software programs. A valid driver's license is required for audit for travel to clients' offices using a personal vehicle. The hourly rate is $21 per hour.
