Job Description This position is responsible for assisting the Accounting Department in financial analysis, creating timely and accurate financial statements, reconciliation of accounts and financial reporting projects.
Essential functions General assistance to Finance Manager (Site Controller) in financial issues.Assist in the development and preparation of annual budgets, monthly forecasts, and monthly reporting packages.Assist in preparation of analytical reviews and variance analysis of results against budgets and forecasts.Adhere to all Company policies and procedures.Engage with Finance team at EH headquarters and with corporate office.Other duties and special projects as assigned.Job duties Assists Finance Manager (Site Controller) in the development and preparation of annual budgets, monthly forecasts, and monthly reporting packages.Assists Finance Manager (Site Controller) in preparation of financial summaries and analytical review and variance analysis of results against budgets and forecasts.Assists Finance Manager (Site Controller) in the preparation of all AFE forms and work orders for repairs, purchases and modifications to property, plant and equipment. Maintains reports on open AFEs. Compiles a forecast of closed AFEs.Assists Finance Manager (Site Controller) in processing month-end, quarter-end and year-end balance sheets and journal entries according to local accounting standards.Performs reconciliation of general ledger accounts of local accounting system.Responsible for identifying key variances between local accounting.Interacts with regional finance staff on accounting issues involving assigned duties.Coordinates interaction with auditors and assists in collecting the support documents during periodic internal and external audits.Assists Finance Manager (Site Controller) during annual physical inventories as per the standards of local accounting.All of the above obligations apply to all legal entities engaged in financial transactions on operating activities in the Republic of Kazakhstan under local accounting.Performs other duties as assigned by the Finance Manager (Site Controller).Adheres to company policies and procedures.Qualifications Necessary qualifications, skills and abilities: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.Should have at least 7 years of work experience.Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.Must be capable of working in a team environment.Must be detail-oriented, self-starter and able to work with little supervision while maintaining goals/tasks.Must be able to operate a 10 key by touch and type 40+ WPM.Must have good PC skills to include all MS Office products with extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel.Must be proficient with data upload processes.Must have good written and verbal communication skills and able to effectively communicate with staff, management, customers and vendors.Must possess sound reasoning skills and have the ability to follow directions.Additional qualifications, skills and abilities: Experience at international companies of at least 3-5 years, English upper intermediate level, Oracle programPosition Competencies: Initiating & Driving ChangeResult FocusedTeam WorkCustomer FocusPhysical demands and work environment: Ability to comprehend, remember, and follow verbal and written directions and comply with Company policies, procedures and standard.Use repetitive wrist, hand or finger movements at a computer.
