Our Client is an international Sports, Fitness and Wellness Group with a chain of Clubs in Italy.
For the newest club in Rome, we are recruiting an
ACCOUNTANT
**Location**: Central Rome
Role
**Reporting to the Finance Manager Italy, the appointee will**:
Prepare and maintain the Rome Club's accounting and reconciliations
Manage a/c relating to the Club's suppliers, salaries, expense reimbursements etc
Prepare the balance sheet
Contribute to the preparation of the monthly cash-flow and forecasts
Support the Italy Finance Manager and the a/c team in the monthly reporting and preparation of the annual b/s
Carry out periodic tax declarations such as VAT, Intrastat etc
Liaise with the Group's external tax and legal support firms, public authorities and organisations
Make occasional visits to other clubs in Italy for training and internal meetings
Communicate in English at international level within the Group
University Degree in business or Finance-related studies; alternatively a High-School leaving certificate in accounting
3-5+ years of relevant finance and accounting experience ideally from an international company
Strong knowledge of Italian accounting standards
Good English for in-company communication at international
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel
ERP knowledge and experience appreciated
Experience from the hospitality or service sector appreciated
Team-spirited, practical and keen to take on a challenge
Able to work independently, organise priorities and respect deadlines
Willing to visit occasionally the other clubs in Italy for training and meetings
