As Accountant, you will be part of the South Europe Finance Department based in Milan. You will report to the Accounting Manager and have a dotted line into the CFO – South Europe. You will be responsible for Finance and Accounting activities of one of our Italian Legal entities of the Group.
This is a full-time, onsite position requiring attendance five days per week.
What you will be doing: Monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the company.Overview of the automated processes for sales, purchases, AR, AP.Complete financial reports, lead month-end closing process, and conduct monthly reconciliation.Support the accounting manager in the monthly, quarterly, and annual closings following local and US GAAP.Ensure the integrity of accounting information by verifying and recording transactions.Cash management and reporting, support payment preparation.Contact with Tax authorities for audit and special requests.Maintain and review financial records, including Fixed Assets Ledger.Compliance with local accounting legislation, tax laws, standards, and reporting timeliness.Intercompany and bank reconciliation.General accounting, VAT return, in liaison with local tax and legal consultants ensuring correct calculation of monthly VAT and correct calculation of the taxable income; VAT reports, Journal Book, F24, and other government-related returns.Maintain strong knowledge of accounting and finance practices.Analyze new transactions and document appropriate accounting treatment under Local and US GAAP and ensure that it is applied.Continuous improvement of processes and controls.Support on ad hoc projects.Enhance the tools and processes.What we are looking for: Degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting and/or extensive experience in a similar role within Italian and international entities.Excellent overview of the administrative/accounting as well as immediate operational autonomy.Experience in general or tax accounting.Familiarity with US GAAP.Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.High attention to detail and accuracy, reliability, and curiosity.Strong communication and problem-solving skills.Advanced knowledge of Excel and SAP.Fluent in English and Italian.
