Accountant

Galileo is looking for an Accountant to join our fast-growing team and to help support the Company's mission by building up our internal technical and technology knowledge, resources and ways of working necessary for analysing and optimizing renewable energy projects.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of utility-scale projects, including photovoltaic, wind, and battery storage systems, across various European countries.
The Accountant will be based in Milan, reporting to the Head of Accounting.
What you'll do: Perform general ledger, A/P and A/R postings; Provide support for the monthly consolidation process; Analyse the supplier schedule and identify payments to be performed; Analyse non-recurring transactions and identify the correct accounting treatment; Prepare the statutory financial statements of Galileo's Swiss holding; Support the Head of Accounting to develop and maintain the financial reporting risk control framework; Support the Head of Accounting in the development and maintenance of the ERP system.
Requirements What you'll need: At least 4 years of experience in finance or accounting roles; Diploma in Accounting and/or Degree in Accounting or Finance subjects; Good knowledge of the English Language; Good knowledge of standard software (mainly Excel) and previous experience with ERP systems; Enthusiasm and self-motivation, including a willingness to take on new challenges and broad responsibilities; Aptitude for problem solving and ability to work in a team.
