Covestro, leading company in the supply of premium polymers and high-tech plastics, is looking for an Account Manager to be part of the Sales and Marketing Performance Materials team based in Filago (BG).
At Performance Materials (PM) Sales EMLA, we take pride in our daily performance running our existing business in Polyurethanes Raw Materials and Basic Chemicals with impactful lever and optimized value along all business cycles.
Alongside, we are re-imagining with fun an exciting, powerful commodity play of the future, thus supporting the overall Covestro transformation towards an effective and climate neutral business.
WHAT WE OFFER In this passionate team, you will be responsible for developing and managing sales strategies to grow our market share.
This includes identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with key customers and accounts, and achieving ambitious sales targets.
Reporting to Head of Sales & Marketing Performance Materials Italy, in order to achieve the results, the selected candidate will take the following responsibilities: Negotiating with customers about contracts, prices, payment terms; Creation and monitoring of sales and sales target figures; Ensuring the digital transformation of activities in the customer relationship (e.g.
eBiz, use of business platforms, etc.
); Market research and analysis of the competitive situation to consolidate the market position; Work in close cooperation with local sales organization and with our HQ for Creation of short- and long-term strategies; Project work, introduction and information about new products; Supply Chain Optimization; Preparation of Budget and Forecast to ensure proper demand planning; Visiting trade fairs and conferences; Acquisition of new customers and implementation of new projects; Creation of customer and market strategies as well as case studies in cooperation with the HQ; Implementation of our circular economy vision.
WHAT YOU OFFER The right candidate will have proven experience undertaking a similar role and has a bachelor's degree, preferably in Chemicals or alternatively commercial or technical field.
Other requirements: Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Fluency in English and Italian is a must.
Knowledge of German will be a plus; Flexible mindset: the ideal candidate can work with different stakeholders and has the ability to work with a diverse group of contacts across different cultures.
Perseverant, well organized and energetic driver who pushes himself/herself to deliver ambitious results.
Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Willingness to travel as required to meet with clients and attend industry events.
