WHAT YOU'LL DO : Oversee, grow, and develop Access Center's programs using Positive Youth Development and trauma-informed approaches Provide oversight of Access Center programming, volunteers, and case management including contracts with Probations, Youth Family Reconnection, and Problem Solving Provide strengths-based supervision for supervisory staff and Access Center teams Manage all Access Center data, reports, and contract expectations Assure high quality front desk operations and flow Manage co-locating Access Center partnerships on site and act as SPY point of contact for partners once program has been formed by Director of Access & Engagement and Development Assess and make consistent schedule for engaging, youth-centered programming focused on youth empowerment, development, and utilizing healing arts approaches Lead weekly Restorative Justice meetings and implement a Restorative Justice approach in member accountability Work with Volunteer Coordinator to support Access Center volunteers when on site Work with Access Center Supervisor to oversee AC youth liaisons and interns as direct supervisor.
Responsible for supervising day-to-day assignments, onboarding, training, and regular check-ins Manage facility needs of Access Center Programs Ensure upkeep of physical Access Center space Manage Access Center budgets Resolve administrative problems by coordinating preparation of reports, analyzing data, and identifying solutions.
Other duties as to support the organization's missions and goals.
Requirements WHAT YOU'LL NEED : Bachelor's Degree in Sociology or Psychology is preferred but not required.
2-5 years experience in a social service setting, working with homeless or at-risk youth is required.
At least 2 years experience providing or overseeing case management programs is preferred.
2-3 years of experience managing supervisory staff is required .
Excellent crisis intervention skills Ability to work with and develop staff members with lived experience of being unhoused or system-involved Strong background in administration and coordination of processes and procedures Strong written communication skills and problem solving capabilities Strong computer skills and knowledge including word processing, database operations, spreadsheets and other software systems A commitment to and a passion for the mission, vision, values and culture of SPY An ability to work in an environment that requires effective collaboration and ability to adapt to change and growth Cultural responsiveness and humility WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS : Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Changes in the environment, such as the office or outdoors.
Physical effort/lifting, such as sedentary- up to 15-20 pounds at times.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS: Mandated Reporting Requirements : The person holding this position is considered a 'mandated reporter' under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act and is required to comply with the requirements set forth in CSU Executive Order 1083 Revised July 21, 2017 as a condition of employment.
COVID-19 Vaccination Requirements: Effective August 9, 2021, the State Health Officer has mandated that all workers, paid or unpaid, in homeless services organizations must provide proof of vaccination.
If eligible for a booster shot, proof of booster is also required.
If not fully vaccinated, weekly COVID-19 testing is necessary depending on the program .
