We are seeking a skilled and proactive Deskside Support Technician to join our IT support team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing first-line technical support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and other peripherals.
This role involves troubleshooting technical issues, setting up and configuring equipment, documenting incidents, and managing assets.
The technician will ensure that end users receive efficient and effective support in a timely manner.Key Responsibilities:Technical Assistance:Serve as the first point of contact for end users seeking assistance with desktop and laptop hardware, software, network issues, mobile devices, and peripherals.Diagnose and resolve issues related to Windows and Mac OS platforms, as well as mobile devices running Apple iOS and Android OS.Setup and Configuration:Set up and configure end-user desktops, laptops, hardware, software, printers, mobile phones, and peripherals.Provide step-by-step guidance to users for installing and configuring applications.Documentation and Ticketing:Document and record incidents, service requests, and resolutions in the internal ticketing system.Create and update technical documentation and manuals (Knowledge Articles) for known issues.Asset Management:Conduct stock level checks, track, receive, prepare, and manage the shipment of IT assets.Imaging and Deployment:Image and deploy laptops, desktops, and tablets to end users, ensuring proper configuration and readiness.Office Moves Coordination:Assist with and coordinate office moves, including the relocation and setup of IT equipment and workstations.Qualifications:Education:High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Associate's degree in Information Technology or a related field is preferred.Experience:Previous experience in a technical support role, preferably in a deskside support capacity.Proficiency in troubleshooting Windows and Mac OS platforms.Experience with mobile device support (Apple iOS, Android) is a plus.Skills:Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical information to non-technical users.Experience with ticketing systems and documentation.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Certifications (Preferred):CompTIA A+ or similar certification is preferred.Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) or Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP) is a plus.Job Types: Part-time, ContractContract length: 12 monthsPay: €40.00 - €50.00 per weekExpected hours: 5 – 8 per weekAbility to commute/relocate:San Piero in Bagno: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required) #J-18808-Ljbffr
