Role purpose: As part of the European Vodafone Network Operation (VNO) Organization, CSDB Operation Team is responsible for the maintenance of HLR, HSS, EIR, OneNds, SDL, PAG, FMP, GCC, NPN, Digitalk.2nd Line Operations of Mobile Voice Core Platforms in a multi-vendor environment.Preventive and corrective second level troubleshooting ensuring quality, continuity of service and the restoring time for Voice Core Network elements.
In collaboration with 1st Line Operations teams, work out procedures related to the analysis of alarms in order to detect and eliminate faults.
Perform data configuration, software rollout and support integration activities with planning and delivery functions.Key accountabilities and decision ownership:• As a Specialist in Voice Core, you are responsible for providing 2nd level support for applications, services and infrastructures in the Voice Core environment HLR, HSS, EIR, OneNds, SDL, PAG, FMP, GCC, NPN, Digitalk• You define and track service level agreements and system KPIs for the responsible services and monitor their compliance and react proactively to impending violations of target values and quality restrictions with the involvement of the other 2nd level teams required for this.• You will independently identify and implement optimisation measures to prevent incidents.
• You are responsible for escalation management and accompany or support roll-outs of new systems, services and software • You act as a contact person and escalation level within the team and transfer know-how across departments.Key performance indicators:• Network availability and quality and reaction time to incidents• Timely delivery of network rollout• Efficiency achieved in managing network operations activities Core competencies, knowledge, and experience:• Problem solving skills and attitude to manage incidents/emergency situations to deliver results and improve performance• Team working oriented approach and ability to work across multi-functional and cultural boundaries• Good knowledge of network architectures with experience in main vendors technologies • Attitude to construct effective relationships with high ability to influence the rest of the organization encouraging collaboration and team working skills • Good communication skills, Italian & English (spoken and written) Must have technical / professional qualifications: • University degree: faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications, and Information Technology• 5 years of experience in Telecommunication on similar position.• Scripting knowledge (Linux, Python, Ansible) desirable• Hands on experience with Voice Core elements from Nokia• Strong orientation to delivering results without impact to the final customer.
