Within the vessel and construction operations management (VECOP) department in the business line Asset Based Services, we are looking for a 1st Assistant to be employed on board construction vessels worldwide.
ACTIVITIES Coordinate work and manpower on board for the assigned shift in compliance with Project specification, in order to ensure efficient performance and respecting HSE and Quality procedures and practices.Assist the Offshore Construction Manager with regard to interdisciplinary coordination of all works on board.Supervise the team of foremen and supervisors, with regard to the various disciplines/categories of construction and assembly work, in order to comply with the quality and safety standard.Coordinate the construction activities during the shift and optimise all production phases.Ensure that the Offshore Construction Manager is kept fully informed of potential problems and construction status.Liaise with Chief Mate, 2nd Engineer and Vessel Equipment Engineer in order to ensure preventive maintenance and construction activities.Liaise with subcontractors' supervisors to optimize production.Ensure that the Permit-to-Work system for construction crew is adhered to and ensures that the daily Tool Box Talks and JSA, if required, are carried out according to the procedures.REQUIREMENTS Preferably with technical High School Diploma or civil, mechanical, electrical or naval engineering background.Fluent in English.6 or 7 years of prior experience in the oil & gas business.4 years of experience in the role of 1st assistant or similar Supervisor Role.LABOUR RELATIONSHIP: permanent
