degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or equivalent fields;2+ years' experience in scientific software development;Proven experience in programming with Python and knowledge of Python scientific libraries and tools (i.e., numpy, pandas, Jupyter notebooks);Experience with platforms and frameworks for building web applications such as Django, Angular, React, Flutter, etc.
;Experience with the design and management of relational and non-relational databases (i.e., MySQL, MongoDB, etc.
);Experience with version control system tools (i.e., Git/GitHub);Experience with Linux environment;Flexibility to work on a diverse range of tasks and to manage deadlines;Fluency in both written and spoken English;Additional SkillsExperience on SDK Android and Xcode for iOS;Experience with the development of algorithms and software tools to process data acquired by drones, video cameras, and satellite images;Knowledge of Object-Oriented design and programming;Knowledge of domain-specific Python libraries (e.g., xarray, cartopy);Experience in handling large datasets;Experience with containerization software (i.e., Docker);Ability to work in a team and independently;Duration, Compensation BenefitsThe appointment period will be initially of 12 months starting from October 2024, with the possibility of contract extension pending positive evaluation.
