Our Institute for European Institute on Economics and the Environment (EIEE) is looking for a new position of Postdoctoral Researcher, responsible for conducting research in the domains of climate change impacts and health economics and analyzing policy frameworks.

ROLE
The Researcher will be responsible for supporting the empirical analysis on climate change impacts on human health and health systems using micro and administrative data. The researcher is also expected to contribute to our multifaceted efforts in environmental economics with an emphasis on health co-benefits and distributional implications of climate change, climate change adaptation and climate governance by researching, analyzing policy frameworks, working in a dynamic and multidisciplinary environment, with a visible impact on policy and society.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Researcher will be responsible for:
Empirical analysis using micro and administrative data;
Analyze the impacts of climate change on human health and health systems with an emphasis on health co-benefits and inequality;
Preparing reports, briefings, and presentations to communicate research findings, policy analyses, and recommendations to policymakers, practitioners, and other stakeholders.
REQUIREMENTS
PhD in economics or equivalent subjects;
Very good knowledge of the English language;
Accuracy and good analytical skills.
DURATION, COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Please note that this opportunity will be issued both internally and externally;
The Researcher will be based in Venice CMCC office;
Contract and gross annual salary will be based on qualifications and working experience and competitive with major research centers in Europe;
The appointment period will be initially for 24 months starting from September 2024 , renewable for up to 12 months additional months pending a positive evaluation. Tenure can be granted from 2 to 4 years after being appointed as a junior researcher;
Welfare package, for minimum 12 months contract;
Flexible working time as per internal policies;
Support during the immigration process, if needed.
PROTECTED CATEGORY
Belonging to legally protected categories (ex L. 68/99) will constitute a preferential condition.
Some fiscal benefits could be applied for repatriated workers or foreign researchers/professors, having the requirements defined by Dlgs 147/2015 (for repatriates) or Dl 78/2010 (for foreigners).
