To support our Company's growth, we are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to support the design and configuration of Small Satellite platforms as well as subsystem development.
The new colleague will be part of the AIT & Design unit and the role is focused on being active part of product development process with the opportunity to be involved in all phases of the projects, through the whole product lifecycle, from preliminary design to test phases.

DUTIES The role includes mechanical design and structural analysis simulations and you will be able to work with a team of passionate and collaborative engineers supporting the development of new products.
These activities will include (but not limited to):
Satellite configuration and mechanical design 3D modeling and FEM analysis of satellite systems and subsystems Support AIT, AIV, acceptance, and qualification campaigns Preparation of technical documentation (including design and analysis reports, test specification and procedures, test reports, technical drawings) Assembly and integration procedure preparation Support to environmental testing activities Support for risk assessment and FMEA Prototyping and manufacturing (3D printing, CNC) GENERAL REQUIREMENTS Master's degree in Aerospace or Mechanical engineering 5+ years of working experience Experience in CAD design and analysis of space hardware ECSS Standards Knowledge Flexibility, team-working skills and communication capabilities REQUIRED EXPERIENCES & SKILLS Previous experience in projects in the aerospace/space industry Professional knowledge of SolidWorks and Femap/Nastran Design knowledge of Structure Subsystem architecture for a Satellite Platform FEM analyses and structural calculations proficiency Structural dynamics understanding (i.e, launch environment) Experience with space environment design practices Previous experience in using laboratory tools and equipment, for manual integration and testing of space hardware Fluent in English language, both written and spoken High flexibility and team-working skills ADDITIONAL ASSETS Proactive and curious person, and able problem solver Familiar with ISO9001/ AS9100 normative Knowledge of MIL/Space Standards This announcement is aimed at both sexes, under laws 903/77 and 125/91, and to people of all ages and all nationalities, under legislative decrees 215/03 and 216/03.
