Our Genoa headquarter is strictly inter-connected with our 11 centers around Italy and two outer-stations based in the US for a truly interdisciplinary experience.YOUR TEAMAt Rehab Technologies Lab (https://rehab.iit.it/), we are dedicated to revolutionizing the field of medical robotics to enhance the lives of patients with spinal cord injuries and orthopedic and neurological upper limb impairments.As a Senior Electronic Engineer in the medical robotic field, you will play a crucial role in developing state of the art electronic boards and systems for complex mechatronic systems.
You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure our devices meet the highest safety, efficiency, and effectiveness standards.Key Responsibilities:Design, optimization and testing of electronic boards for actuation control, sensors, signal conditioning, communication and power management.Management of prototypes manufacturing and troubleshooting.Supervision of Junior Electronics Engineers (according to the lab necessities).Generate detailed technical documentation for board production, robot cabling and testing.Collaborate with other engineering disciplines (mechanics, software and control) to ensure the successful integration of their designs with the rest of the system.This open position is financed by INAIL (Italian National Institute for Insurance against Accidents at Work).WHAT WOULD MAKE YOU SHINEA Degree in Electronic Engineering or closely related area.5+ years of experience in developing electronics systems and PCBs.Excellent skills in electronic design, simulation, testing and debugging.A good working knowledge of PCB development tools such as Altium Designer, Orcad etc.Good knowledge of power electronics, motor control and embedded firmware.Practical electronics skills (soldering, cabling, building prototypes).Proactive attitude and results-oriented mindset.A good knowledge of English or ability to attain is desirable.Good interpersonal and communications skills and willingness to integrate in an international research team.EXTRA AWESOMEPrevious experience in robotics or medical devices development.Previous experience in the design of electromechanical systems.Previous experience in mentoring junior resources and supervising technical teams.Ability to work in a challenging and international environment.Previous experience in working in team with other Engineers and to organize test/assembly operations made by Workshop Technicians.COMPENSATION & BENEFITSCompetitive salary package for international standards (salary can include 20% bonus option).Private health care coverage.Wide range of staff discounts.2 days of teleworking per week.Flexible working time.WHAT'S IN FOR YOU?An equal, inclusive, and multicultural environment ready to welcome you with open arms.
