ROLE SUMMARY: We are seeking a compassionate, patient, and observant 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a 7-year-old Elementary student.
This role requires an empathetic, adaptable individual dedicated to helping students with specific learning needs reach their potential.
The ideal candidate will bring a positive approach, encouraging small achievements to build the student's confidence.
Experience supporting students with learning difficulties such as dyslexia, dyscalculia, or attention challenges is highly desirable, though candidates with general school experience and an interest in learning support are welcome.
Key skills include maintaining focus, promoting positive communication, and reinforcing behaviours like hand-raising and following instructions.
A foundational understanding of phonics and numeracy, especially early literacy and numeracy programmes, would be beneficial.
Training in multi-sensory learning and attention management strategies is also advantageous.
The role demands flexibility, commitment, and a willingness to tailor learning approaches to the student's unique needs.
