No Offer Description The activity covered by this contract mainly consists of teaching and research for a total of 1500 hours per year. More specifically, the research activity will be carried out within the competences assigned to SSD MVET-02/B as foreseen for the RTD figure. The research activity will concern the evaluation of innovative tools and models of strategies for the control of zoonotic food-borne diseases, particularly related to the assessment of the spread of antibiotic-resistant microorganisms. The concept of sustainability of the food chain will be included with the evaluation of game meat chain as an environmentally friendly alternative to farmed animal meat. Essential is the One Health approach and risk analysis related to consumer safety. The research activities take place within the framework of articulation 1 (Food Hygiene Safety) of the general topics of the 'Food, Bioeconomy, Natural Resources, Agriculture and Environment' section of the PNR 2021-2027 with an integrated medical-veterinary One Health approach. The expected impact is an extensive epidemiological assessment of the main zoonotic food-borne pathogens as well as the spread of antibiotic-resistance. The approach will be directed towards innovative techniques to detect the presence of human pathogenic microorganisms in food of animal origin associated with the study of time-saving microbiological techniques compared to the traditional ones. The expected impact will also concern the evaluation of alternative and environmentally sustainable food chains, such as those related to the game meat, in order to better control these food chains in a One Health perspective. The overall teaching commitment will concern the inspection of food of animal origin and the technologies and hygienic health control of food of animal origin in the form of frontal, practical and traineeship activities. Teaching may include lectures, tutorials, support in any other forms of student instruction, grading and evaluation of papers and evaluation of final exams, on the subjects and topics covered by the contract. Teaching for up to 120 hours is required, according to university regulations.
